Kellie Martin. Martin, a native of the United States is an American actor and actress in the film and television industries. She is most famous for her roles as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher as well as Lucy Knight on the series ER. She is also known as the star of her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin was born to a department store buyer and kindergarten teacher, began her career as an actress at age seven when her aunt, who was the nanny of Michael Landon's children assisted Martin land a role in 1983's show "Father Murphy". She began acting professionally following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of roles both in the television as well as the film industry. Martin is also an artist and photographer. Her sister, who died due to Lupus aged 19 led her to becoming the Lupus national spokesperson.
